Regularly clean your climbing shoes

Some climbers dry their shoes using a hairdryer, then stuff them with cedar chips, baking soda, baby powder, or gold bond. Hogging the problem is a common blunder made by beginner climbers. Even when the gym is packed, they’ll climb up the wall and repeat a move, oblivious to the crowd of people waiting to tackle the same or the following problem. Typically, it would help if you only attempted once or twice before stepping back and allowing others to try.
If you want to work on a problem but someone else is on and appears to be close to solving it, it’s best to wait until they’ve finished before getting on to figure out your beta. You risk disrupting their rhythm and groove.
